In a statement to the Tanjug agency, Petkovic said that this means that the court process is continuing, given that they are accused of the criminal offence of illegal carrying and possession of weapons and explosive substances, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Serbia.
We have a court decision here, regardless of whether we are satisfied with it or not. Serbia is a law abiding country and court decisions are respected here, unlike in Pristina, where all decisions are made by the prime minister of the temporary Pristina institutions, Albin Kurti, and the interior minister, Xhelal Sveçla, who arrest Serbs based on lists, present non-existent evidence and do everything that is contrary to the approach in effect in central Serbia, he said.
Serbia will continue to fight for every Serb arrested in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, the director of the Office said and emphasised that there will be no talks with Kurti until all the arrested Serbs are released.
Petkovic emphasised that at this moment special pressure will be exerted on the representatives of the international community, who must do everything to ensure that the Serbs are free and reiterated that this is a precondition for the continuation of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
