Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic met today in the Serbian government with representatives of French company Vinci Airports on the occasion of problems at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla airport, which caused congestion and flight delays in the previous days.

Request to Vinci to urgently normalise situation at Belgrade airport

Vesic told his interlocutors that they urgently have to take all measures to normalise the situation at the Belgrade airport immediately and underlined that the Serbian government is ready to issue them a warning, which is the first step under the concession agreement.
The Minister requested that they submit to him within three days the employment plan, then the risk plan for the period from 1 July to 15 July, which they should have done already, the exact Gantt chart of the measures they will take during the summer, as well as a meeting with the management of the Vinci company in Paris.
Vesic received assurances from representatives of Vinci that they will apologise to the citizens of Serbia for what happened yesterday and that they will normalise the situation today.
