In a statement to the media, after the meeting, Vucic explained that the report stated their condition and who beat them, adding that they were not guilty of anything.
He said that he listened to everything his interlocutors had to say, and that he pointed out that the Serbs are in a very difficult position and that they do not want to suffer Albin Kurti's terror in the way they have been forced to do so far.
The President of the Republic emphasised that he understands their desire to de-escalate the situation, that is, to solve problems through dialogue, adding that the talks will continue on a daily basis, because Belgrade considers peace and stability to be of key importance and strives to solve every problem through dialogue.
He, however, said that at this moment, he does not see any reason to talk with Kurti, who makes provocations every day and wants to cause a conflict.
Vucic pointed out that he is concerned about what is happening in the north of Kosovo and Metohija and the arrested Serbs who have been in the custody of the so-called Kosovo police for weeks.
We have to stand by our people in Kosovo and Metohija, but we also have to stand by respect for public international law, the United Nations Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, which they also refer to when it suits them, Vucic said.
