Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic met with Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of France Sylvie Retailleau, during a working visit to France as part of the Mission France programme.
Begovic pointed out the importance of greater cooperation in the field of science between the two countries and expressed her desire for Serbia to take a well-deserved place on the global map of science, knowledge and innovation.
In this sense, it would be important for science in Serbia to organise panels at the ministerial level for the first time, related to science and innovation, Begovic said.
The ministers discussed the Bio cluster in France and opportunities for greater cooperation between universities in Serbia and France, as well as researcher exchange programmes.
Retailleau presented programmes that support the inclusion of science in the innovation sector, while Begovic presented the BIO4 campus and innovation ecosystem in Serbia.
On that occasion, she invited Minister Retailleau to participate in the BioTech Forum, which will be held in Belgrade in October.
