Brnabic emphasised that this year Serbia should reach an economic growth of 2.5%, and that the key area for achieving that goal is construction and faster issuance of location and building permits.
She pointed out that a stable economy and continuous GDP growth directly affect the real increase in salaries and pensions of Serbian citizens.
They also discussed a set of economic aid measures aimed at raising the standard of living of Serbian citizens. Increases in wages and pensions are possible due to the stable economic policy that Serbia has had for years, so GDP growth is key to the continued growth of the economic power of Serbian citizens.
The Prime Minister also referred to public investments, which are important both for economic growth and for the lives of citizens, and in that context mentioned investments in schools, hospitals, scientific infrastructure and other facilities of public importance.
Brnabic reiterated that every project is important for achieving greater economic growth and that all ministries, local self-governments and public companies must speed up activities in order to meet the deadlines.
She singled out the field of tourism, whose potential has not been fully utilized, and announced the connection with tour operators of countries whose citizens are interested in visiting Serbia, as an interesting destination for them.
