The IT equipment consist of some 300 state-of-the-art computers and accessories whose total value is €2.7 million. This is the realisation of the second phase of the EU project supporting the reform of Serbia's judiciary.
Speaking on reforms in the judiciary, Stojkovic said that it is necessary to organise a new network of courts, including courts of appeal. Another necessary step is to adopt new laws on criminal procedure and the law on notary public.
He said that courts of appeal will be established in Novi Sad, Belgrade, Nis and Kragujevac.
On the occasion of presenting computer equipment to the District Court in Novi Sad, Head of the Operational Center of the European Reconstruction Agency (EAR) in Serbia-Montenegro Daniel Giuglaris recalled that this is the final phase of the process of equipping courts in Serbia.
