First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received a courtesy visit today from the Polish delegation led by Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Sejm of Poland Radosław Fogiel.
At the meeting where it was mutually stated that bilateral relations are very good, Dacic said that Serbia strives to maintain as close relations as possible with Poland and pointed out that we will continue to work on deepening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
On the Polish side, support for Serbia on the way to membership in the European Union was repeated and the opening of a Polish cultural centre in Belgrade was announced.
The importance of further improvement of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries was particularly emphasised, and the situation in Kosovo and Metohija was also discussed, as well as current international issues.
The officials concluded that there are numerous opportunities for further strengthening of all forms of cooperation of mutual interest.
