On that occasion, Jovanovic pointed out that today, when we are presenting scientific and technical achievements that have positioned Serbia as a regional leader in just six years, it is a real honour to be part of the government led by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, who in 2017 had the idea and vision of Serbia as a country of science. digitalisation, creativity and innovation.
We succeeded in that and we changed Serbia. In just a few years, we have transformed it, giving a chance to our engineers, to innovative and creative people, the Minister pointed out.
According to him, investments were made rapidly in infrastructure, reforms and building a business environment in order to take advantage of the development opportunity to position ourselves as a state of favourable opportunities in the era of digitalisation and become one of the leaders of the Fourth industrial revolution.
Begovic assessed that technology has never had such an impact on our present, but also the future of new generations, and explained that technology is here to help us, facilitate and improve our lives.
She stated that this week visitors at the fair will be able to get acquainted with new technologies, technological achievements and see what science provides to Serbia as solutions to global challenges, through concrete products and innovations.
Shechtman pointed out that science progresses through a long process of evolution and that as a final result we get products that improve health, bring cleaner food, create better medicines and modern life, including artificial intelligence.
He wished Serbia success and pointed out that it is important that as many young people as possible get involved in science and technology in order to make Serbia an even more exceptional country.
