This project has been realised through financial assistance of the World Bank and the UK Government Department for International Development. Lalovic pointed out that the ministry's employees will be trained to provide a higher quality, more professional and effective service to all citizens of Serbia.
According to Lalovic, this centre represents a new model of professional development according to world standards. Its task will be continuous monitoring of those skills and knowledge employees lack, so that their development can be planned and organised in the best possible way.
Director of the "Promoting employment" project Ljiljana Dzuver said that the World Bank donated $2.7 million to the project, while the UK Government Department for International Development provided $1.7 million. The Serbian government provided 20% of the funds.
Dzuver added that the centre will train the ministry's employees throughout Serbia, since training sessions will not take place in Belgrade alone, but in regional centres as well.
