Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic and his Greek counterpart signed an agreement today which envisages strengthened cooperation between Serbia and Greece in the field of harmonisation of regulations with EU standards and training of judges.
Stojkovic, who is taking part in the international
conference of ministers of justice and interior of southeastern Europe in Greece told the Tanjug news agency that this agreement confirms that relations and cooperation between the two countries are good.
According to Stojkovic, he signed the agreement after a successful meeting of the ministers of justice and interior of southeastern Europe at which it was agreed to secure good cooperation of police, courts and prosecutor's offices in such a way so as to be able to offer resistance to all grave problems troubling the entire region, such as terrorism, organised crime and corruption.
In this way we meet our obligation on the road towards the European Union to sign bilateral agreements on cooperation with all justice ministries in the region, the Minister stressed.
He said that it is only left to sign the agreement with Romania in May, as agreed yesterday with colleagues from that country, and Serbia's obligation will be fully met.
