Dacic recalled that Kyrgyzstan always voted against the admission of "Kosovo" to UNESCO and Interpol, stating that the interlocutors told him that they would not recognize the independence of "Kosovo".
Kyrgyzstan is a country with which we have friendly relations, but not developed cooperation, Dacic pointed out, announcing that the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs Zheenbek Kulubaev will visit Serbia by the end of the year.
He also said that he conveyed to President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov the invitation of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to visit Belgrade.
Dacic recalled that the trade exchange between the two countries is only €26 million, noting that Kyrgyzstan is interested in cooperation in the field of defence, military industry, education, culture and science.
During the talks with Kulubaev, Dacic pointed out that it is necessary to revitalise the political consultation mechanism in order to strengthen the political dialogue and direct our cooperation.
According to him, considering the current level of economic cooperation, in the coming period attention should be focused on deepening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, textile and food industry, as well as energy, culture, sports, education and science.
Kulubaev agreed that it is necessary to work together to improve bilateral cooperation between our countries through regular holding of political consultations.
He also confirmed that there are numerous unused opportunities in the field of economic cooperation and proposed the formation of an intergovernmental commission for economic and trade cooperation, whose work would contribute to the improvement of cooperation in numerous areas.
Dacic and Kulubaev signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the two diplomatic academies, as well as the Cooperation Programme between the two ministries for the period from 2023 to 2025, with mutual agreement that the existing bilateral legal base should be expanded by signing new agreements on cooperation in areas of common interest.
