Proportional participation of ethnic minorities in Vojvodina courts

Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic and Provincial Secretary for Regulations, Administration and Ethnic Minorities of Vojvodina Tamas Korhec today reached an agreement to pay special attention to securing proportional participation of ethnic minorities representatives in the judicial organs of the multinational region of Vojvodina when proposing judges and prosecutors to be delegated to the High Judiciary Council.

The two collocutors analysed conclusions from the previous meeting held on November 4 last year and examined the steps taken and initiatives for the official use of the language and alphabet in Vojvodina's courts. Personnel solutions were also looked at, with a special emphasis on the staff belonging to ethnic minorities.
Stojkovic and Korhec fully agreed on all issues and concluded that certain tasks have already been concluded. They also decided to establish cooperation in the performance of tasks related to determining seats of magistrates' courts in Vojvodina.
