Subsidies of up to €5,000 available for purchase of electric, hybrid cars

At today's session, the government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on the conditions and method of implementing the subsidised purchase of new vehicles that have an exclusively electric drive, as well as vehicles that, in addition to the internal combustion engine, also run on an electric drive (hybrid drive).

Legal and natural persons, as well as entrepreneurs, have the right to subsidised purchase of such vehicles, and the request for purchase can be submitted no later than 31 October 2023. The purchase of passenger and cargo vehicles will be subsidized in the amount of €2,500 to €5,000.

The government of Serbia also adopted the Decree on the conditions and the way to exercise the right to financial resources for construction, participation in the purchase, that is, the purchase of a family-residential building or apartment based on the birth of a child.

At the session, the Decree was adopted on determining the program for encouraging regional and local development in 2023, which includes support for regional and local development and the connection of all subjects of regional development at the national, regional and local level.

Members of the Government adopted the Bill Amending the Law on Culture, which implies that instead of ten years, the Strategy for the Development of Culture will be adopted for a period of five years, because in this way it is possible to determine the direction of the development of Serbia's culture in order to make it more sustainable and systemic. more grounded than was the case with the adoption of this act for a period of ten years.

Also, the amendment stipulates that the Endowment of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar enjoys special care, bearing in mind the importance that the Holy Monastery of Hilandar and the Endowment have for the culture, history and tradition of the Serbian people.

At the session, the Decision on additional awarding of recognition for outstanding contribution to national culture, i.e., the culture of national minorities, was adopted. Actors Aleksandar Bercek and Slavko Stimac, writer and literary translator Darko Tanaskovic and cultural expert and publicist Aleksandra Ninkovic Tasic received additional recognition.
