On that occasion, Dacic said that our country is fully committed to peace and dialogue, which, with the mediation of the European Union, is being conducted between Belgrade and Pristina.
He emphasised that Serbia, starting from the well-known principle of "pacta sunt servanda", will continue to insist that previously reached and signed agreements be implemented, so that the process would be credible and could continue in good faith.
We lead a responsible policy, doing everything to ensure that the interests of Serbia, as well as regional peace and stability, are protected, the head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out and at the same time added that the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries can and should always count on the friendship and partnership of Serbia.
According to him, Serbia firmly believes in a world ruled by dialogue and cooperation based on equality, the desire for compromise and the pursuit of peace.
The First Deputy Prime Minister said that the goals and principles of the United Nations, defined by the Charter, represent a support in the fight for peace and a better world.
Equality of states, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, peaceful settlement of disputes and respect for diversity are undoubtedly principles that are even more current and necessary today, in the conditions of major changes on the international level, in order to achieve the most valuable goal – peace, Dacic pointed out.
At the Summit, which is dedicated to the fight against the coronavirus, he pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic is still current, as well as that global changes and challenges are becoming more and more complex, and it is clearer that interstate and interregional cooperation is the key to responding.
The First Deputy Prime Minister reminded that vaccines from five different producers are available in Serbia, as well as that our country has not forgotten its neighbors in difficult times, but also its traditional friends from Asia and Africa, to whom it selflessly donated basic medical equipment and vaccines.
