Inspector General of the Serbian Ministry of Interior (MUP) Vladimir Bozovic, who at the invitation of the US congressmen is on a several-day visit to the US during which he will attend the 54th national prayer breakfast, has initiated a series of meetings at the US National Security Council.

Bozovic briefed his collocutors from the National Security Council about the continuation of police reform through the implementation of the new Law on police.
He pointed to the full readiness and resolution of the MUP and the Serbian government to successfully complete cooperation with the Hague tribunal.
Being also the Serbia-Montenegrin national coordinator for police and human rights at the Council of Europe, Bozovic pointed to a drastic violation of rights of Serbs and other non-Albanians in Kosovo-Metohija, first of all the right to life, freedom of movement, property and work, as well as the unsolved cases of murdered Kosovo Serbs.
Bozovic and his collocutors also discussed the upcoming referendum in Kosovo-Metohija. The hosts of the meeting stressed that the US will respect the position of the European Union that there should be an agreement between the authorities and the opposition on a qualified majority, with clear democratic referendum conditions.
During the day Bozovic will also visit the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
