The aim of this law is to provide conditions for the even development of electronic communications throughout the territory of Serbia and to encourage connectivity, access, wide availability and the use of new generation networks, especially those with very high capacity, including fixed, mobile and wireless networks.
Some of the novelties introduced by this law are the mandatory introduction of bills for services in electronic form, enabling conditions for operators to more fairly and efficiently share the existing infrastructure, all with the aim of providing even better and more diverse services.
All of this will affect the increase in the availability of the internet, landline and mobile telephony services, as well as television in towns and villages. The bill also envisages the obligation to register prepaid mobile phone users, which will increase the safety of citizens.
The government also adopted the Bill on Occupational Safety and Health, which regulates the improvement and implementation of occupational safety and health of persons who find themselves in the working environment, in order to prevent injuries at work, occupational diseases and work-related diseases.
The reason for the adoption of new legal solutions was reflected in the necessity to introduce new institutes into the employee protection regime, which are primarily related to ensuring greater health protection and expanding the circle of persons who have this kind of protection.
This bill will be applied both in the private and in the public sector and in all activities.
A special emphasis is placed on the implementation of the risk assessment procedure and the adoption of an act on that assessment, monitoring of the health status of employees and consultation, information and cooperation with employees.
At the session, the government initiated disciplinary proceedings against the translator who made a gross mistake when translating the text into English.
