First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori expressed interest today in further deepening of the overall cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.
Dacic underlined that the Fourth joint session of the two governments which will be held soon, as well as the Serbia-Italy Business Forum, to be held in Belgrade on 21 March, will undoubtedly contribute to that.
He also thanked Italy on the continued and strong support to the European path of Serbia.
Gori said that this business forum will focus on three sectors – energy and green transition, agriculture and agritech, and infrastructure, noting that these are three main sectors in which Italy wants to invest and through them further develop partnership with Serbia.
He noted that Italy will be the partner country of the Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad in May, when many companies will come in order to establish and develop economic relations with Serbia.
The two officials also exchanged opinions on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and agreed that the continuation of dialogue is the only and right way to achieve sustainable agreement.
