Ilic opens reconstructed bridge over river Tamis

Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic today opened for traffic a reconstructed bridge over river Tamis near the place Centa.

On the 150-metre long bridge, a traffic lane was reconstructed and the bridge construction strengthened. Construction works worth 28 million dinars, conducted by the Intermost company, were completed in 85 days.
Ilic said that the bridge was renovated as part of the reconstruction of the Zrenjanin main road which will be fully completed in spring. He added that after the overhaul of road infrastructure in Srem and the Novi Sad-Subotica main road, it was the turn for roads in Banat to be reconstructed.
The Minister specified that the Serbian government and the Roads Directorate invested 670 million dinars in the road network and the ring road around Zrenjanin, adding that the overpass at the entrance to Zrenjanin has also been completely reconstructed and opened to traffic today. The construction works were also carried out by Intermost and their total cost was 30 million dinars.
Ilic said that in this way Zrenjanin got a unique opportunity to develop an industrial zone near the ring road, which will create space for a new economic swing.
