The statement says that all broadcasters are obliged to televise the decision on the announcement of days of mourning, and inform the public of official memorial gatherings organised to commemorate the accident at Bioce
Channels that broadcast popular and folk music and other forms of entertainment should alter their programme schedule accordingly.
During the mourning period, daily newspapers are obliged to print in black, explaining on the front page the government’s decision to mark the days of mourning.
According to the law, cultural establishments (museums, theatres, cinemas) should adjust their programmes accordingly.
In sports halls and stadiums the days of mourning will be marked by flying the Serbian flag at half-mast, and if an international sporting event is held, the flags of the participating international sports organisations will also be flown at half-mast. The beginning of sporting events will be marked by a minute of silence to honour the victims of the accident.
During the days of mourning it is forbidden to transmit folk and popular music, which includes any forms of entertainment in public places.
The law also envisages penalties for any actions contrary to the aforementioned articles, concludes the statement.
