The signing will take place in late March in Italy.

Labus concluded his two-day visit to Italy with a conference themed "“Regional Cooperation, Securing Peace and Role of Contracts in the Balkans” organised by the Institute for Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. In a statement to the Fonet news agency, he stated that the energy issue has become not only a matter of the economy, but of politics and strategy as well.
Labus stated that the conference considered further steps that should be taken in the Western Balkans, the effects of international contracts to-date and expectations for the upcoming period. He added that what the EU can do to encourage stability in the region was also discussed.
Labus discussed the upcoming talks on Kosovo-Metohija with representatives of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Italian parliament and with Italian Minister of Production Activities Claudio Scajola.
Italy will be increasingly engaged in the programme for the protection of cultural and church objects in Kosovo, said Labus, adding that the Italian officials also talked with him about the next meeting of the Contact Group.
