Minister of the Interior Bratislav Gasic met in Ljubljana with his Slovenian counterpart Tatjana Bobnar and Minister of Defence of that country Marjan Sarec.
Gasic, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia, spoke with Bobnar about improving cooperation and exchanging information regarding irregular migration and the fight against organised crime.
The interlocutors expressed their expectation that a protocol between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the Republic of Slovenia on cooperation in the field of combating human trafficking and child abuse will be signed as soon as possible.
During the talks with the Minister of Defence of Slovenia, cooperation in the field of emergency situations was discussed, as well as improving the cooperation of voluntary firefighting societies.
The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between the ministries of the two countries is good, and that it will be improved in the coming period, according to a statement of the Ministry of the Interior.
