In a telephone statement from Morocco to the news agency Beta, Parivodic said that special relations represent a kind of support not being offered by any other partner in the international community, and for Serbia it is necessary to establish such relationships in Africa.
According to Parivodic, the establishment of special relationship is particularly backed by Moroccan Prime Minister Driss Jettou with whom he held talks today.
Parivodic said that this is only the beginning of cooperation and it is expected that Morocco will become a close political and trade partner of Serbia. He recalled that the Serbian delegation of officials and businessmen consist of six government representatives and seven representatives of the Serbian economy.
He said that the Serbian construction company “Planum” has already won a tender for a project in Morocco, and added that the Moroccan government has extended invitations to other construction companies from Serbia to participate in business activities in Morocco, with the pledge that they will be given all possible support.
Parivodic said that in today’s talks with the Moroccan Prime Minister Serbia received clear support for its position on the question of Kosovo and Metohija as well as full support for activities that are related to the European Union and the World Trade Organisation.
Parivodic also held talks today with his Moroccan counterpart, and during his stay in Morocco he is also to meet with Moroccan ministers of finance, foreign affairs and agriculture.
