The statement says that on the first day, the Serbian stand attracted great attention. It was visited by German Minister of Agriculture Horts Seehofer, as well as ministers of several European countries. At the Serbian stand, a reception will also be held today to which representatives of all countries producing plum brandy are invited. The tasting of the best plum brandies will also take place.
The Green Week is the most important agricultural manifestation and it is of great marketing and political importance. It serves to announce at the beginning of each year the main tendencies and strategic goals of the world agriculture. The event which is in its 80th year has brought together more than 60 countries.
Apart from the exhibition, where each country will represent its typical agricultural and food products, the 12th Agricultural and Political Forum East-West will also be held. Agriculture ministers and representatives of international organisations will discuss current issues and challenges of modern agriculture at a number of sessions organised as part of the fair.
The Serbian stand is situated in the main exhibition hall, next to the national stands of the Netherlands, Australia, Spain and New Zealand. The Serbian food industry's representative products will be exhibited at the stand, with special support from a number of Serbian companies: Apatinska Brewery, Artival, AS Group, Bi Voda, Foodland, Ethno Food, Knjaz Milos mineral water producer, Marbo Produkt, Minakva, Park System-Fast Energy, Pionir confectionery company, Vocar-Kopaonik and Vujic Voda.
The presentation of Serbia's agricultural and food industries is held under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, and organised by SIEPA, with support from the German organisation for technical cooperation (GTZ).
