With this document, which was signed in the presence of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, non-refundable aid will be made available to our country for further strengthening of economic and overall social development.
Miscevic expressed her gratitude to the government of Spain for the consistent support it provides to Serbia in the process of joining the European Union, and especially for this significant development aid, which is an additional important element in the further improvement of the overall relations between the two countries.
She explained that these funds will be used to stimulate economic development and strengthen the capacities of the public sector of Serbia.
Reyes Maroto pointed out that she is honoured to be able to sign this Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, because it represents a new step forward in the already excellent bilateral relations between our countries.
According to her, this document will enable the preparation of studies, the provision of consulting services and technical assistance for strategic projects of common interest to be financed through donations from the government of Spain.
She also emphasised that Serbia is the only priority country in Europe for this financial instrument of the government of Spain, which reflects the close nature of our bilateral relations.
