The government passed amendments to the Decree on education previously passed by the Serbian National Minorities Council, by which the representatives of the association of Jewish municipalities in Serbia-Montenegro are included into the council's makeup.
The government also adopted amendments to the Decree on methods of distribution of a part of the earmarked budgetary funds realised through games of chance, which are used for financing local self-governments.
Another decree passed at today's session concerns categorisation of positions and criteria for description of jobs of civil servants.
The government also amended the Decree on defining a programme for building up, reconstruction and maintenance of water management infrastructure passed in 2005. Instead of providing 70 percent of funds for the construction of Rovni and Prvonek damns and storage reservoirs, the new objects will now be fully financed by the republic.
The government passed two decisions: on the establishment of the republic institute for social care and the centre for mentally disabled youth, the later of which will be situated in Trbunje, the Blace municipality.
The government accepted the Report on public procurement of consultancy services of a privatisation advisor for the Serbian oil industry NIS, followed by the adoption of a document explaining the government's reasons for accepting the offer submitted by the consortium Merrill Lynch and Raiffeisen Investment. The government also adopted a draft contract with the accepted bidder.
The government approved the working programmes for 2006 of the Serbian oil industry NIS, as well as the following public companies: the Electric Power Industry of Serbia EPS, Elektromreze Srbija, Jat Airways, Telekom Srbija, the Serbian Rail Company, Srbijagas and Transnafta.
The approvals were also given for the statute of the national air carrier Jat Airways and the establishment of Radio Jat Belgrade, Ltd.
The government approved the Rule book on defining maintenance, protection, building up and reconstruction programmes for main and regional roads on the territory of the Republic of Serbia in 2006.
A financial plan for 2006 of the Serbian National Lottery was also approved by the government.
The government also passed a document endorsing the guarantees previously given to the Hague tribunal for a provisional release of Vinko Pandurevic.
