Prime Minister Ana Brnabic spoke today with General Director of CIBT Eric Scheinerman, who expressed clear intentions for this company to open centres of excellence in Serbia at two locations, in Nis and Belgrade.
CIBT, which is headquartered in the United States of America, is a world leader in the field of visa and immigration consulting services, through its representative offices in more than 25 countries.
The CIBT representatives explained that the company, after long-term thinking, as well as a comparative analysis of many countries in the world, decided that Serbia was the right destination for their new business project.
Brnabic pointed out that this is another recognition for Serbia, taking into account the reputation and extensive network of clients that CIBT has, and added that the government worked hard in previous years to provide companies with a favourable business climate.
The Prime Minister reminded that in our country many well-known world companies have opened development and research centres and centres of excellence, and that one of the strategic goals is the transition from an economy based on investments to an economy based on knowledge.
At the meeting, the good cooperation with the "Point of Return" platform, which was established at the Office of the Prime Minister, was highlighted, whereby one of the biggest benefits of that project would be that returnees to our country could be employed by CIBT.
CIBT representatives emphasised an extremely positive attitude towards the "Open Balkans" initiative, given that their company supports the integration process of the region.
