Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today in Cairo with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt Badr Abdelatty to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as strengthening long-standing ties dating back to the Non-Aligned Movement.

Gratitude to Egypt for support in evacuating Serbian citizens from Israel

The meeting also addressed the urgent evacuation of Serbian citizens currently in Israel, whose number exceeds 2,500.
Macut expressed gratitude to Abdelatty for Egypt’s full and unconditional support to Serbia in this time of crisis, given that Egypt has assisted in all necessary steps to ensure the safe evacuation of Serbian citizens located in the territory of Israel.
The Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for the solidarity and friendship shown by Egypt.
He stated that, thanks to this support, the Serbian Embassy in Egypt is actively receiving Serbian citizens arriving at the border, after which their safe return to Serbia will be organised.
This operation is an example of strong international cooperation and friendship under the most difficult circumstances, the Prime Minister said following the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Abdelatty.
