Djuric told the Beta news agency that Serbia conducted successful talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank positively assessed implementation of reforms in the country.
The donation has also been approved due to the results of economic and tax policy measures realised in the course of the year, Djuric said.
He said that these results had been previously set by the European Union as preconditions for the financial assistance.
More good news is that 90 percent of the approved €25 million was paid yesterday to the account of the Serbian budget, through which the European Union has shown at the beginning of negotiations on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement that it strongly supports Serbia in the talks and wants a successful conclusion of them in 2006, Djuric concluded.
