Connecting of youth guarantee of successful future of the region

Belgrade/Skopje, 11 August 2022

Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic participated in the youth conference "Youth in the Open Balkans: chances and perspectives for reliable progress in the region", which was held in North Macedonia, on the eve of the International Youth Day.

Ministers from the region took part in the conference, and in their presentations, they outlined the mechanisms by which their countries support young people, and the activities for the next period that can contribute even more to connecting the youth of the Western Balkans were discussed.

Udovicic pointed out that joint regional events have a special significance because only with joint forces and continuous investment in creating conditions for a quality life of young people can we influence different trends in our region.

According to him, young people are the best representatives and promoters of the country, the strongest resource and driving force, and their inexhaustible energy, innovation and creative spirit drive every society and contribute to its progress.

By empowering young people and providing conditions for their development, we are laying solid foundations for a peaceful and sustainable future, and connecting young people from the region is a priority goal for all of us, because it is the biggest guarantee of a successful future in the Western Balkans, the Minister said.

After the conference, Udovicic held bilateral meetings with Minister of Sports and Youth of Montenegro Vasilije Lalosevic and Director of the Agency for Youth and Sports of North Macedonia Naumce Mojsovski.
