The Parliament of Serbia-Montenegro has appointed seven out of the eight required justices to the Court of the State Union. An eighth nominee, Judge Ratko Vukotic of Montenegro, did not receive enough support.
The justices of the newly established common court of Serbia-Montenegro are: Slobodan Perovic, Ljubomir Popovic, Katarina Manojlovic-Andric, Mihajlo Rulic (all from Serbia), Miodrag Latkovic, Emilija Durutovic, and Blagota Mitric (all from Montenegro).
With today’s appointment of the joint court, Serbia-Montenegro has created the last one of the institutions mandated under the Constitutional Charter.
