He announced that the Air Serbia plane which will fly to the People's Republic of China will be named after our scientist Mihajlo Pupin and pointed out that Serbia's ties with the People's Republic of China are truly sincere and friendly, and that they continue to develop.
We expect to sign an agreement on free trade by the end of the year, which will open up space for further improvement of cooperation, he said.
Ambassador of the Republic of China Chen Bo, who arrived today on the first direct flight on the Beijing-Belgrade route with Hainan Airlines, said that this act will strengthen the cooperation between the two countries and Serbia's position as a regional traffic hub.
The opening of the direct line is the result of the quick realisation of a significant consensus between President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandar Vucic for the continuous improvement of cooperation between our two countries, the Ambassador of the Republic of China pointed out.
She assessed that the opening of a direct airline will not only greatly facilitate the exchange of people, but will also open up new opportunities for cooperation between the Republic of China and Serbia in all areas.
