Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus said today during talks with political director in the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi that in negotiations on Kosovo-Metohija, talks on standards and talks on the future status of the province are equally important.

Labus stressed that it is absolutely necessary to respect human rights in Kosovo-Metohija, to ensure the safety of all ethnic minorities, as well as the protection of Orthodox Serb monasteries and churches.
At the meeting the issue of the future status of the state-union and the necessity of continuation of cooperation with the Hague tribunal was also discussed. Speaking on the European perspective of countries of the West Balkans, Terzi said that Italy gives full support to Serbia entering the European Union.
