The International Labour Organisation, with its seat in Geneva, has, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy, announced a competition for the best article, radio or television report on the theme of self-employment, micro-credits and self enterprise.
The Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic said that programmes for self-employment and micro-financing are the way in which Serbia can have influence on resolving the huge problem of unemployment that has become an obstacle in Serbia’s path to European integration.
Expert of the International Labour Organisation Severin Dubos said on the announcement of this competition, that only through providing information correctly can citizens of Serbia find out more about the programmes of self-financing and micro-credits meant for all those who wish to realise an income for themselves and their families in that manner.
It was stated at this workshop for journalists that all works published in the period from January 15, 2005 to January 15, 2006 can be submitted for the competition. The workshop aims to inform media in Serbia on the concepts of micro-financing, self-employment and self enterprise.
