Zoran Stojkovic
Speaking at the conference on legal cooperation in terrorism-related criminal cases Stojkovic explained that through that person it should also be possible to secure implementation of certain measures for realisation of legal help and extradition, as well as the protection of the human rights of citizens.
He said that there is a lot more terrorism in the world than in Serbia, and that since three years ago it became clear to everyone that terrorism is an evil that affects the entire world. He recalled that according to amendments to the Criminal Law of Serbia, along with the criminal act of terrorism, the criminal acts of international terrorism and financial terrorism have been added.
Stojkovic said that it is necessary to take action, at the legislative level, as well as enabling institutions for joint work. He added that with that aim the notion has been formed of securing a person for coordination who will be able to coordinate all bodies and at the same time, in a proper and prompt manner, offer all necessary information and help.
The conference called “Legal cooperation in terrorism-related criminal cases”, which is being held today and tomorrow in Belgrade, has been organised by the OSCE Mission to Serbia-Montenegro and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
