Certificates for education leadership presented

The students of the Serbia Educator Development Programme (SEDP) were today presented with certificates in education leadership awarded by the Faculty of Education of the University of Calgary in Canada.
Canadian Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Robert McDougall said at the certificate presentation ceremony that the aims of the SEDP are boosting the capacity of educators, teacher professional training, strengthening of the leadership in the education institutions, improvement of regional ties and the promotion of peace and tolerance.
The staff of the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport, and educational organisations attended the seminars for a year, from October 2004 to October 2005. The programme was implemented by the University of Calgary and the University Management Group from Montreal, in association with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport.
