The meeting between Danailov and Kojadinovic was also attended by Minister of Culture in the interim government of Kosovo-Metohija Astrit Haraci, who confirmed that works that were begun on the renovation of monasteries and churches in the province, after the agreement reached in Belgrade, will be finished by Monday.
In a statement to the news agency Tanjug, Kojadinovic said that work on the reconstruction and protection of churches and monasteries that were damaged in the acceleration of aggression in Kosovo-Metohija on March 17, 2004 is going on without stop, because it is important to be ready for the next construction season that begins in the middle of March.
He said that it is necessary to make a lot of plans, drafts and agreements in order to use the construction season in 2006 in the best possible way, because during the previous and this year a lot of opportunities were missed.
He said that it is important for these talks to begin in an exceptionally warm and good atmosphere, as was the case in Belgrade, and added that it is especially encouraging that the members of the mixed commission of the European Council have stated that they are ready to do everything in their power to conduct this work in the best possible manner.
