At the meeting in the Youth Centre, Brnabic pointed out the importance of this platform, which is intended for children, students, parents, educators, but also the state administration and local self-government in order to systematically fight against this problem.
The Prime Minister reminded that the government established this national platform in March 2021 and added that it represents the most important result of the government's work with trade unions in education, which represent educators and civil society organizations that deal with this topic.
This is our first national platform that gives everyone the opportunity to report child abuse, neglect, violence and exploitation, Brnabic said.
She said that in a year, over 44,000 registered users joined the trainings on the "I Protect You" platform, and a pilot project was launched in which 12 primary and 12 secondary schools participate and in which the effects of the work of parents and teachers on the platform will be threatened.
The Prime Minister pointed out that there is a huge interest of children in articles, advice and topics related to digital violence, announcing the acceleration of work on the platform to enable reporting of violence on it, but also to enable networking of social work centres, health institutions and police stations.
She pointed out that the importance of this problem for the government of Serbia is best seen by the fact that six ministries gathered around that project.
