Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic met today with Prime Minister of Sao Tome and Principe Jorge Lopes Bom Jesus, and on that occasion invited him to visit Belgrade this year to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries.

Noting that the two countries provide mutual support to each other on the world political stage, Selakovic pointed out that it is of great importance for Serbia that Sao Tome and Principe support it in terms of preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty.
We are very grateful for that and on such bases we have an excellent precondition and potential for intensifying cooperation, the Minister emphasised.
Selakovic informed his interlocutor that this year our country provided four scholarships for students from Sao Tome and Principe within the programme "World in Serbia" and sent an invitation to the delegation of that country to participate in the upcoming International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
The Prime Minister of Sao Tome and Principe expressed his gratitude to Minister Selakovic for coming on an official visit, as well as the belief that the two countries, which have been linked for decades, will have the opportunity to renew cooperation.
