Miroljub Labus
Presenting the "Fourth Report on the Serbian government's progress in the process of European integration" at a session of the Serbian parliament's European integration committee, Labus said that the next technical meeting with EU representatives on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement will be held on December 20 and 21.
The topic to be discussed at the meeting is free circulation of goods, i.e. liberalisation of trade in industrial and agricultural products between Serbia-Montenegro and the EU.
The Deputy Prime Minister explained that on the first day of the meeting, the teams from Serbia and Montenegro will talk with EU representatives on the common elements of the agreement that refer to principles of trade regimes of both member states, while the second day the teams will hold separate talks on goods annexes.
He said that prior to that, on December 12, The Hague Tribunal's chief prosecutor Carla del Ponte will arrive in Belgrade. She will present a report on Serbia-Montenegro's cooperation with the tribunal to the UN Security Council on December 15.
Labus said that he does not have any information on the content of this report, but added that the European Commission will study the report carefully and accept recommendations of the UN Security Council.
Labus said that the negotiations conducted with the EU and those on the future status of Kosovo are parallel processes which can influence each other, but that for now, there are neither positive nor negative influences coming from that.
Labus said that in the negotiations on Kosovo-Metohija, Serbia will have greater success if its "speaks in one voice".
