Following a meeting with Joachim Rucker, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Raskovic-Ivic said that an agreement has been reached on a provisional solution for the forthcoming winter, and announced another meeting with Rucker and the ministers of energy and mining for early December in Pristina.
She expressed conviction and promised that the situation from last year will not be repeated, and added that she will give her best to find a long-term solution that would be effective in the years to come.
Raskovic-Ivic also said that she discussed with Rucker the issue of land ownership records and stated that they will not be returned but that copies of the documents needed for privatisation will be available.
Rucker said that the province's power utility company (KEK) should not discriminate against those citizens who pay their electricity bills. He pointed out that he agreed with the head of the Coordinating Centre that determination of ownership in the privatisation process is of high importance.
