Government passes Conclusion on adoption of National Money Laundering Risk Assessment

The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on confirmation of the Memorandum of understanding on military cooperation between the Serbian government, represented by the Ministry of Defence and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Defence, whose goal is the establishment of the legal framework to enable cooperation in the field of military technical, military economic and military scientific cooperation, military education and training, and military medicine.

The government passed the Conclusion on the adoption of the National Money Laundering Risk Assessment and the National Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment, Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Assessment in the Digital Property Sector and the Risk Assessment of the Financing of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The aim of these risk assessments is to draw conclusions on which sectors and actions in the system of a country carry a potentially higher risk, in order to respond to them properly.

The risk assessments were made using the methodology of the World Bank, Council of Europe and the RUSI Institute for Defence and Security Studies, as well as personal methodology based on professional experience of participants in the work on risk assessment from previous years. Over a thousand participants from the public and private sectors took part in elaborating the risk assessments.

The Serbian government passed the Decree on issuing charity postage stamps “Construction of the Memorial Temple of Saint Sava”, to be printed from 11 October to 11 December 2021 in a circulation of a total of 7,600,000 pieces, worth RSD 10.

On the basis of the government decision, the building of the Local Community of Backi Jarak in Backi Jarak has been declared a monument of culture. The building erected in 1904, apart from having architectural value, represents one of rare testimonies of the multicultural history of Backi Jarak and the life of the German ethnic community in Vojvodina from that period.
