Government sets minimum wage for next year

Belgrade, 9 September 2021

The Serbian government set today the minimum wage for the period January-December 2022 at RSD 201.22 net per hour, thus increasing the minimum wage by 9.4%.

The minimum wage has been set based on the latest macro economic data available and projections for the coming period.

The government made the decision to form the Body for coordination of road traffic safety with the aim of monitoring, directing and coordinating activities related to the reduction of the number of traffic accidents and their consequences and the implementation of the National Road Traffic Safety Strategy.

The government gave the approval to accept, based on the factual reciprocity, the certificates of full vaccination against COVID-19 issued by the competent organs or institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany, with which entry into the Republic of Serbia will be allowed without the need for travellers to provide a negative PCR test to the SARS-CoV–2 virus or antigen FIA RAPID test.

The Framework document of the Republic of Serbia for the issuance of green certificates was adopted, whose purpose is to secure financing for projects that contribute to ecological sustainability in the broadest sense.

By adopting the Framework document, Serbia has become the first country in the Balkans to publicly declare its dedication to promoting awareness of the ecological, social and corporate management of projects in the field of climate change mitigation and environmental protection. This will enable Serbia access to global capital markets in ESG format.

Bearing in mind the positive experience from cooperation to date and the fact that the better knowledge of the language and culture contributes considerably to the further strengthening of relations of the two countries, the government made the decision to conclude the Agreement between the Serbian government and the German government on the German School in Belgrade.

The government set special fees to be paid during the Children’s Week 2021 for each ticket sold in the local and intercity transport by rail, water, air and road, and for every ticket for theatre, movies, cultural and sporting events and for every music CD sold.

The Children’s Week is organised every year in the first full week of October with the aim of promoting the development of social care for children by organising cultural, educational and recreational events dedicated to children.
