Serbian government delegation commences official visit to Hungary

Belgrade / Budapest, 7 September 2021

Members of the government of the Republic of Serbia, led by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, arrived on an official visit to Hungary, during which a joint session of the two governments will be held and a strategic partnership agreement signed.

The Prime Minister and ministers were welcomed at the airport in Budapest by Minister of Finance of Hungary Mihaly Varga.

Tonight, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban will prepare a working dinner for the Serbian delegation.

On that occasion, a series of bilateral meetings are planned, and one of them will be held by Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto.

The topic of this meeting will be the situation in the region, the implementation of reforms within the European integration process, as well as the annual plan of technical and expert assistance to Hungary in the process of Serbia's accession to the European Union.

Tomorrow, a tete-a-tete meeting of the two prime ministers is on the agenda, followed by the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two neighboring countries.

The visit of the members of the government of Serbia to Budapest will end tomorrow afternoon with a joint press conference of Orban and Brnabic, at which they will present the details of the agreement and the assessment of the meeting.
