Speaking at a press conference following the meeting, chairman of the meeting Jolly Dickson said that experts of the sub-group will work on concrete and practical issues of finding a solution for procuring regular supply of electricity.
Dickson said that the meeting was useful and that the issues of a gas pipeline, gasification and supplying Kosovo-Metohija with natural gas were also discussed.
He said that it was also discussed at the meeting that social programmes can offer help to the most impoverished groups of the population, so that they can pay their electricity bills.
Member of the delegation from Belgrade Petar Maksimovic said that the achievements of the working group will mainly be judged on whether this winter in Kosovo-Metohija will see irregular interruptions in the supply of electricity or not.
Maksimovic said that the result of the work of the new sub-group will be a common position that something of that sort is not repeated, and at the same time to ensure maximum payment of bills taking into consideration the socially impoverished groups of the population.
The next meeting will be held in one month’s time, at which the report of the newly formed sub-group will be discussed.
