Sanda Raskovic-Ivic
In a statement to the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Raskovic-Ivic said that a patrol of men in black uniforms, controlling the road turn to Drenici, tried to stop and search the representatives, and one of the vehicles tried to overtake their cars.
Groups of armed ethnic-Albanians want to get independence through blackmail and extortion, she said.
Raskovic-Ivic said that Serbian and other non-ethnic Albanian communities should not succumb to panic and rumours that are spreading around, though they should still be very cautious.
She stressed that representatives of Kosovo Serbs and the Serbian government both feel that such actions of armed groups of the so-called “Kosovo Independence Army” aim to bring fear among Kosovo Serbs and put them under great pressure before talks on Kosovo status begin.
