Since the implementation of the plan TR 84 was launched, the Serbian Customs Administration has seized around 32,000 packs of cigarettes on the border crossings of Vatin and Kladovo and brought 90 criminal charges.
Following an action on the Vatin border crossing, 11 charges have been brought for attempts of illegal imports of 645,920 liters of diesel fuel and other goods, while the customs offices in Subotica have seized goods worth €49,087. In Leskovac, €306,755 worth of undeclared goods have been seized, according to the statement.
At the Sombor customs office, charges have been brought for import attempts of fraudulently declared goods of Chinese origin, worth 5,826,240 dinars, while at the border crossing of Gradina, 13 kilos of silver, worth more than € 50,000 was seized from a Turkish national.
At the Kelebija border crossing, a shipment of granulates worth €15,075 has been seized, while at the Subotica customs office, three trucks with PVC granulates worth €48,214 have been confiscated.
According to the statement, the Customs Administration has also thwarted attempts to take a total €576,636 in undeclared hard currency out of the country.
