The Serbian government announced today that a new electronically integrated system of state bodies will be operational as of next week, which will help the state and citizens in a more efficient fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decisions of the Sanitary Inspection and other important notifications regarding the health measures they need to take will be electronically created and submitted to citizens through the eHealth Portal and the eGovernment Portal.
The main goal is to connect different information systems in order to make epidemiological supervision more efficient and to forward information about a citizen crossing the border or being infected with coronavirus to various state bodies, and possible surveillance measures are electronically generated, pronounced and delivered to citizens.
In that sense, the integration of information systems of the Ministry of Health, Institute of Public Health "Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut", Ministry of the Interior, Office for IT and eGovernment and the Ministry of Justice has been carried out.
The new electronic integrated system will enable that, if it is confirmed that a person is positive to coronavirus or has been in contact with a positive person, as well as if he or she comes from high-risk countries where the epidemic is on the rise, this information will be forwarded to the eInspector of the Sanitary or Border Sanitary Inspection.
The decision on the imposed measure of isolation, as well as the termination of the measure, is created in electronic form and is available to citizens immediately after the pronunciation of the measure through the eHealth Portal or the eGovernment Portal, as well as to the Ministry of the Interior for the sake of controlling compliance with the measure.
In the event that the measure of isolation is violated, the inspector creates misdemeanour reports which are submitted to the court electronically for further action and initiation of proceedings.
From Monday, 12 October, the eHealth Portal will also provide a COVID-19 self-assessment test for special health supervision for foreign citizens too.
On the eGovernment Portal (www.euprava.gov.rs), citizens can electronically schedule an appointment for PCR testing on personal request in one of the 26 laboratories in 22 cities across Serbia. This service is provided to all citizens of Serbia and foreign citizens, without logging in to the Portal.
It is made possible for all citizens, if they leave their e-mail address or mobile phone number during the PCR test, to receive a notification that the PCR test is completed, and the result of the PCR test is forwarded via e-mail.
If citizens forget to leave an e-mail or mobile phone during the test, they can apply for this type of notification also through the eGovernment Portal, regardless of whether they have an account on the Portal.
