Djuric recalled that 21 years after the war, the fate of about 500 Serbs is still unknown, so Brussels is discussing how to ensure in a concrete way that archives and all other forensic materials finally become available, which is a humanitarian, and not a political issue.
According to him, the creation of a legal guarantee that Serbs can acquire the right to return stolen houses and apartments after 20 years was also discussed, as well as economic cooperation, the possibility for young people to live normally, regulating payments and moving across the administrative line.
The Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija assessed that Serbia has a chance to use the positive momentum created in the talks in Washington, where it achieved an extraordinary result, and that he expects the talks on concretisation of the agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities to begin in next two days.
According to Djuric, the talks on concretisation of the agreement on the Community of Serb Municipalities will begin after seven years, and the Serbian side will insist and fight for the implementation of that agreement to begin.
