Raskovic-Ivic, who started a several-day visit to Kosovo-Metohija with a visit to Silovo, which is home to around 1,500 Serbs, said that everything will be done to make the life of Serbs in the province easier. The first step is the setting up of a lawyers’ office, which will gather respected domestic and international lawyers to represent Serbs at Kosovo courts, according to her.
After visiting a refugee centre hosting five Serb families from Gnjilane, whose homes were demolished by ethnic-Albanian extremists on March 17, Raskovic-Ivic met with local officials and displaced persons from the Gnjilane municipality.
She is also scheduled to meet with UNMIK Deputy Chief Larry Rossin and then to go to Gracanica.
