Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Nebojsa Covic met today with NATO Ambassador and Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Crisis Management Robert Serry to discuss safety of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and the ways to prevent further violence of ethnic Albanians against Kosovo Serbs following the clashes from March 17 to 19, read a statement by the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija.

Serry said that the lack of safety for Kosovo Serbs is the main problem in the province, and that a series of activities is necessary in order to change that situation. Serry said that many constructive proposals were made during the meeting.
The NATO Ambassador stressed that the model used for the resolution of the problem in southern Serbian provinces of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja could be used as a solution to Kosovo problem as well, read the statement.
